OK!!! I now as most of you guys know I love to critic music… Love it or Hate it you gotta agree I have a weird taste in music. From jazz to death metal or bossa nova or black metal… Well anyway this is my 1st review….

HAHA!!! THE NEW SUM 41 ALBUM!!!

oK….so to start off we have been waiting for quite sometime for something of calibre from Sum 41. Their last attempt was “Pieces” from their previous album ‘Chuck” which I must say a safe single from them. Unfortunately Deryck Whibley’s and Co. attempt to re-create their ‘All Filler No Killer’ and ‘Does This Look Infected?’ saga had failed….

WHY ???

Its because one guy left(noticeably you know who), they matured obviously due to the fact that Deryck is now a husband. Unfortunately, his wife did not take the maturity side compared to him.

Ok, music wise, guitar riffs are not much as you know this is pop punk. Meant to be radio friendly and shit… but not bad at all especially ‘March of the Dogs’. Crazy rhythm guitar at the start makes it interesting. However, they seemed political in this album… Sounds familiar??? Green Day attempt it; shot them to fame and to the Top 40 charts. Sum 41??? I dun think so… I mean they’re CANADIAN. They topped canadian charts… in the US its all slow. It seems that their pop punks anthems no longer astound US listeners. Long gone were the days of, The Hell Song or In Too Deep. Although, not too bad with ‘Underclass Hero’ and ‘Walking Disaster’.

Overall not too bad of an album but get the older stuff; its more wicked!!!

Gets 5.5/10 from me.
