So I went ahead and make the purchase of a good deal of 200 bucks and this is what I get

Well, like I said in the previous post, I will keep updating esp. when I get the soundproofing of my room and cymbals set fixed.

So I have decided to make a room makeover. Like the ones you see on MTV or kids central if you recall. However, this is kinda on my own and its with my own money.

I wana pimp my room like Xzibit does with the rides. I want people to come to my room and never wanting to leave. So much so, it applies for me. So here is the blueprint or whiteprint of the plans for the changes and then as what my dumb course always asked to to i will justify!.

Ok, so that is about the mods. Now to summed up the costs for this upgrading…

Subwoofer and speakers = FREE!

Paint = $40 – $50

Sk8 ramps = $300 -$350

Drum set = $200 (drums only) + $250 (for cymbals)

Egg cartons and notice boards = <$50

Random IKEA furniture (chairs, table or decorations) and posters = <$150

So its gonna cost me less than 1K to make up my room which is uber awesome! Btw, this is just a roughdraft nothing is really final but the DEADLINE is before Hari Raya which is end of September (party on someday u rmbr…). Oh yes, the sk8 ramp its being contemplate whether to put at the place as planned or beside the drum set as it really depends how much space it takes.

So its like my hobby room… sk8, drumming and blasting music… hell yeah this is a kick ass room I wun wanna leave!. Of course, after the whole shit is done I will keep updating on its progress. Till then!

P.S. btw the blog post on Jason Mraz new album artwork was actually done by a famous scottish artist which he called up and get him to doodle. Apparently he specialises in that. I was WTF? when I heard it in MTVnews… postmodernist artist are so complexed!

My dearest favourite all time grandparent from my paternal side which is my grandma past away from heart disease. Over the past year, having battling countless illnesses and the lost of a child (which is my prozac aunt btw) have reach the final exitlude for her. Sadly would be missed, especially her awesome fried rice which she cooks whenever I visit w/o hesitance and the time spent over the years during the years I was close to her.

Forget that shit, Amanda Ling of Electrico hands down stole the show. Wanted to take a pic with her but seeing the massive mats and people around her, I rather not join the orgy cuz i prefer the one on ones. (photos i mean!)

When, I heard Allura was performing, it is one act I will not missed. Furthermore, they are the kickstarters being the 1st band to perform officially on the awesome stage RP has made. (cheers and props to STA students!).

Hell yeah Allura kicked ass and they played Ladeda the free song u can get from the LIME mag a few months ago where they give a cd with a bunch of highly potential Singapore artistes. Seems like the scene is getting bigger and definitely better

Little did I expect that after their 30-minute gig, me and my buddies would be a “groupie” and asked to take photos with us. We did being unashamed (well you should know me by now!), we asked and they gave a +ve receptive response. We took a pic or two (a second pic doesn’t hurt) and here it is:

Allura seems to be pretty normal people, the dudes smoke and kinda friendly and shook hands instantaneously without prompting (even Inch!). I got into a convo with the drummer, second from the left, and talked about gig locations and recordings which is kinda cool from one drummer to another and he’s good (double bass drums is synchronized and harmonious).

We then dispersed, but it was not for long before Inch saw me and the dudes dancing to a “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire which Ruth Ling was covering at that moment. She joined in for a moment as you know how crazy we are. We had an awesome chat and smoke break from these guys and hell yeah I would buy their cd to see the credibility of the drummer’s assurance of “good quality recording” and also checking out the new singles. (btw Isa was busy with the bassist the dude on his right while Shafiq was sweating bullets).

Had trouble contemplating between Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, Travis Barker of +44 and Matther McDonough of Mudvayne which all these are pretty good drummers the dummies say and they are my faves. However, after Youtubbing(no i wasnt in a bathtub!) Neil’s solo drums, I gotta hand it over to him. Rush is the forefather of progressive rock/metal in which all its members are adept to their instruments. And yeah, I wana be like him but most importantly I want that drumset.

So we have our dream band. And you should know why I named the band ICED-MAIDEN-WEARS-A-BUCKET-IN-SPACE-IN-A-RUSH!!!
